Pain levels vary from person to person, but we ensure our clients remain comfortable by using two types of numbing creams—one before the procedure and another during.

Most clients describe the sensation as a "vibration" or "ticklish," and none have reported it as painful. Our reviews speak for themselves! 😊

The skin in the outer corner of the eyes is very thin, so it’s considered a “no go” zone for tattooing.

To prevent ink migration, we avoid tattooing the outer corners of the eye region.

If you want definition in that area, you’ll need to apply everyday makeup.

All Cosmetic Tattoo's are a 2-step process (minimum):

• The first appointment focuses on design & colour.

• The second appointment builds on the colour saturation and is an opportunity to make any small adjustments.

Your comfort is a high priority throughout the treatment, therefore the use of two different numbing creams will assist. Some clients are super comfortable that they fall asleep!

A complimentary After-Care pack will be supplied at your initial appointment so that you can take care of your new Eyeliner tattoo.

Immediately following the EYELINER procedure, you will be encouraged to rest your eyes as they may feel sensitive, heavy and wind burnt.

If there are signs of swelling you can do an ice-compress and follow Doctors/Pharmacy advice.

If you are not confident driving home afterwards it's recommended to arrange transport to/from the appointment.

Eyeliner tattoos’ longevity depends on several factors:

• Pigment type: Different pigments have varying lifespans.

• Skin type: Individual skin characteristics play a role.

• Lifestyle: How you care for your skin matters.

• Pre-care and after-care: Proper maintenance affects longevity.

Clients may need to refresh their eyeliner tattoo anywhere from 2 to 10 years.

Schedule your Lash Lift/Tints either 2 weeks before your eyeliner tattoo or 2 weeks after.

Stop using Lash Growth Serums 6 weeks before EYELINER tattoo, and do not recommence using it until 6 weeks after.

Growth serums are known to cause irritation and adverse healing responses. DO NOT RISK IT!

Eyeliner Cosmetic Tattoo is a detailed and delicate procedure that must only be performed by accredited professionals with Cosmetic Tattoo and Infection Control certification, due to the sensitivity of the eye area and specific considerations required before, during and after treatment.

Daisy Skin uses only premium cosmetic tattoo pigments that are vegan, gamma-sterilised, and compliant with international safety standards.

Please note that all cosmetic tattoo procedures carry some level of risk.

It is the responsibility of each individual, prior to booking, to ensure they are a suitable candidate by:

• Reviewing the ‘Good Candidate’ checklist

• Completing the consultation form honestly and accurately

• Following all PreCare and Aftercare instructions

• Opting for a Patch Test appointment if they have sensitive or reactive skin

Strict hygiene is adhered to for all treatments at Daisy Skin, including the use and proper disposal of all required consumables in accordance with infection control standards.

During this time we can discuss any concerns and also test if the usual hand stretch would accommodate your condition during the procedure.

Patch tests are recommended for clients with a history of skin sensitivity, inflammation, or concern about possible reactions to any part of the Permanent Makeup process.

A Comprehensive Patch Test ($50) is available and uses all instruments and products involved in your treatment — including (but not limited to) nitrile gloves, drafting pencil, alcohol wipe, medical marker, topical anaesthetic creams, sterile needle cartridge, pigment, wipes, and aftercare balm.

The test is typically performed in a discreet area behind the ear, as this skin closely resembles the sensitivity of the face. Alternatively, a site-specific patch test can be performed directly on top lash line for the most accurate response.

If no irritation or allergic response occurs after 7 days, you may proceed with your initial tattoo booking.

However, please note that a patch test does not guarantee immunity from future allergic reactions, as sensitivities can develop months or even years after exposure.

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they are in optimal health and that they are a suitable candidate for treatment.

Clients must also inform Daisy Skin of any changes to their health, medications, or skin history before each treatment.

Allergic reactions are very rare, but by proceeding with treatment you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk.

Please discuss any known sensitivities or allergies during your consultation so we can tailor the best approach for your skin.

You are NOT suitable if you are:

• Under 18

• Pregnant

You are NOT suitable if you have:​

• Eyelashes Tinted --- Tint them 2 weeks prior OR 2 weeks after

• False Eyelashes --- Must be removed 2 days prior, and not reapplied for 7 days after

• Contact Lenses --- Just remove prior to appointment, don’t wear for 3 days after

• Dry eyes --- Consider bringing your eye drops to the appointment

• Eye disorder --- Contact us to see if there is something we can do to help you

You are NOT suitable if you had/have (or planning to have):

• Very sensitive skin / Undiagnosed allergies

• Keloid or hypertrophic scarring

• Seizures / blackouts

• Thinned blood or history of heavy bleeding

• Fresh tan or sunburn on the treated area

• High blood pressure --- not under control

• Diabetes --- not under control

• High anxiety --- not under control

• Heart condition --- not under control

• Major dental work --- 2 weeks before/after

• Vaccinations --- 2 weeks before/after

• Skincare products containing acids (including Lactic, Glycolic, Salicylic, Citric, Mandelic etc) --- 1 week before/after

• Skincare products that accelerate skin cell turnover (includes Retinol, Retinoids, Retinal, Tretinoin, Bakuchiol etc) --- 2 weeks before/after

• Invasive cosmetic procedures (including Botox, Filler, Dissolver, PRP, Threads etc) --- 4 weeks before/after

• Semi-invasive cosmetic treatments (including chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, needling --- 4 weeks before/after

• Use Eyelash Growth Serum --- 4 weeks before/after

• Facial surgery --- 3 months before

• Accutane / Isotretinoin / Prescribed acne medication --- 12 months before

• An auto-immune disease

• Moles / scars / lumps in the area being treated

• Antibiotics --- 1 month before/after

• Steroid injection --- 1 month before/after

• Oral steroid medication --- 6 weeks before

• Chemo/radiation --- 12 months before

4 Weeks Prior

• No cosmetic procedures/treatments around the eye area

• Stop using Eyelash Growth Serums

2 Weeks Prior

• Last chance to Tint Lashes before treatment, or wait 2 weeks after

• Stop applying any skincare products to the eye area that accelerate skin cell turnover (includes Retinol, Retinoids, Retinal, Tretinoin, Bakuchiol etc)

1 Week Prior

• Stop applying any skincare products that contain acid exfoliants (including Lactic, Glycolic, Salicylic, Citric, Mandelic etc)

2 Days Prior

• Remove false lashes

• No oral anti-inflammatories (Ibuprofen, Nurofen, Aspirin, Disprin, Voltaren, Diclofenac etc)

• No topical anti-inflammatory creams/gels (ANYWHERE on body!)

• Avoid any herbs/spices that thin the blood (turmeric, ginger, garlic, cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginkgo biloba etc)

24 Hours Prior

• No alcohol, opioids or marijuana

• Gently remove eye makeup with an Oil Cleanser. No scrubbing or harsh wiping.

Night before / Morning of

• Wash hair (as exposure to long showers will be limited for 3 days)

Day of Appointment

• No energy drinks, and limit caffeine to 1 tea/coffee

• Strictly no smoking/vaping

• Eat a meal containing fats beforehand (helps with pain tolerance)

• Arrive with a rested heart rate

• Empty your bladder beforehand

• Remove contact lenses. Bring eye drops if you have dry eyes

• Gently remove ALL eye makeup prior to the appointment. A $15 fee will be charged if makeup is still present.

Kindly, please consider your oral and body hygiene as our staff work very closely to you for a lengthy period of time.

Please also do not wear perfume to your appointment as strong scents can cause headaches.

Day 0 (today)

✔️ Rest your eyes as they may feel sensitive, heavy, gritty and/or wind burnt

✔️ Ice-compress 10min on/off. This can help calm the eyes and prevent swelling the next morning

✔️ Sleep on a fresh pillowslip

Day 0 - Until fully healed

✔️ Morning & Night: Dab eyes gently with damp cotton round

From Day 2 - Until fully healed

✔️ Apply a very thin layer of Aftercare Balm to the eyelid (using clean hands or fresh cotton tip)

For 7 Days / Until fully healed

❌ No eye products (makeup/serums) on/near eyes

❌ No sun exposure / swimming / saunas / spas / long showers

❌ No pulling / picking / scratching

❌ Do not wear contact lenses

Until your eyes are fully healed DO NOT touch them with unclean hands!

This can introduce bacteria to the area which can lead to infection and eye irritation ☹

Complimentary Aftercare Balm is supplied at every appointment to help you care for your fresh eyeliner.

The typical healing process for EYELINER is:

Day 0: Bold colour. Eyes sensitive.

Day 1: Eyes may stick together as you wake. Swelling may be present. Ice Compress helps.

Day 2: All swelling should have subsided.

Day 2-7: Eyeliner will flake/peel and lose colour.

Week 4-6: Colour will “bloom” to its true colour.

Week 6-8: So that your tattoo lasts for years to come, ensure you book in for your Touchup Appointment to build on the density and for any small adjustments.

If it's the first time getting a tattoo, be assured that the tattoo will heal softer than how it appears on the first day. Refer to this diagram as to why it appears bold to begin with:

Australian Red Cross states that you have to wait seven (7) days to donate blood after having a cosmetic tattoo by a licensed tattoo professional in Australia.

If the tattoo is done overseas or by an unlicensed tattooist, then the wait time is four (4) months.

Erin from Daisy Skin operates from council approved premises, is trained, insured and uses the highest quality equipment and pigments, therefore is considered a licensed cosmetic tattooist.

Numbing creams (also known as topical anaesthetics) are used before and during your Eyeliner Tattoo procedure to ensure you stay comfortable throughout.

⚠️ Important: Please do not purchase over-the-counter 5 % strength numbing creams, as these are unsuitable for cosmetic tattoo procedures.

Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll need to order two (2) numbing agents — one that is applied before the procedure, and one to be used during treatment.

Our trusted supplier is Your Discount Chemist, a compounding pharmacy based in NSW that specialises in safe formulations for eyeliner cosmetic tattooing.

Your numbing creams will be express shipped via Australia Post. Allow at least 7 working days.
