How does Dermaplaning work?
The Dermaplaning treatment is a physical/mechanical exfoliation that safely removes dead skin cells (keratinocytes) located within the Stratum Corneum layer of the Epidermis.
When the dead skin cells are removed the outer most skin layer instantly becomes decongested, making way for new fresh skin cells which is why the skin appears brighter and smoother after Dermaplaning.
A build up of dead skin cells can make the skin have uneven textures. For clients this may mean their skin feels tough, bumpy or flaky to touch.
An added benefit of Dermaplaning is the safe removal of fine vellus hair (peach fuzz) which can naturally cause a dull, grey, ashy appearance and can make pigmentation appear darker.
Professional Dermaplaning equipment is used to carry out the treatment.

This treatment begins with a double cleanse to remove surface build-up and prepare the skin properly — no shortcuts.
A gentle facial steam follows to soften the skin and support natural hydration, allowing for a more effective treatment without overworking the skin.
Brows frame the face, so a complimentary brow styling and tint is included.
If needed, light facial waxing (chin or upper lip) and sterile extractions can also be performed to keep everything looking clean and refined — no extra charge.
From here, we move into dermaplaning — a controlled exfoliation using a sterile surgical blade to remove dead skin cells and fine vellus hair (peach fuzz).
The result is smoother skin, improved product absorption, and a clean, refined glow.
Once the skin is prepped, a nourishing anti-aging fruit enzyme peel is gently applied, effectively brightening the skin, calming redness, and firming and toning the skin to reduce fine lines and wrinkles.
The treatment is completed with pH-balancing hydration and a layered moisture approach, leaving your skin feeling calm, soft, and visibly refreshed.
To finish, your skin is supported with a lip conditioning treatment, and you’ll have the choice of untinted or tinted SPF — depending on how you like to leave the studio.
